As our network has grown, Local Progress members have started to organize locally with each other and with community and advocacy partners. By connecting locally, LP members have been able to coordinate strategies to build power at the state level, discuss regional issues that cross municipal boundaries, and build community and solidarity at the local or state level. In 2016, we launched our first chapter in New York State. Since then members have hosted over a dozen local meet-ups in states including Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, and Missouri. We formalized our Local Progress Texas chapter in 2019.
Whether you are interested in starting a chapter or just organizing a meet-up in your area, Local Progress staff is here to support you. If you are interested in exploring opportunities in your area, contact Ivan Luevanos (firstname.lastname@example.org).
