Support Starbucks Workers Near You
In a historic, grassroots effort, Starbucks workers across the country, led by Starbucks Workers United, are moving to unionize. Workers are demanding fair treatment and better working conditions, including workplace safety, better wages, and fair schedules.
As of today, more than 100 stores have announced their intention to file or already filed for a National Labor Relations Board election and 2 stores in Buffalo, NY have successfully unionized!
While workers at Starbucks have exercised their right to unionize, managers and corporate employees have turned to retaliatory union busting tactics. Most recently, Starbucks fired workers at a Memphis store for organizing.
As Local Progress, we imagine an economy where working people — especially those in frontline and essential service sectors — are treated with dignity in the workplace and are paid a living wage. As a Local Progress member, here are a few ways that you can support Starbucks workers in your locality and bring us closer to that reality:

Unions make our communities stronger.
Unions advance racial justice. They advance economic justice. They advance gender, immigration, climate, and housing justice. When workers organize, we all win.
I support @SBWorkersUnited. ☕️
Throughout the pandemic, our frontline workers have consistently been asked to put their health on the line. It’s long past time to provide them with higher wages, safe working conditions, and paid time off.
I stand with @SBWorkersUnited ✊☕️
