Just Recovery
With the American Rescue Plan, localities can and must invest in community needs and build sustainable infrastructure centered on equity.

Our Vision and Work

Local governments have and continue to play a critical role in protecting communities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic – from passing local public health ordinances and sharing accurate health safety information to addressing urgent economic needs and protecting frontline workers. With the American Rescue Plan Act, localities can and must invest in community needs and build sustainable infrastructure centered on equity.

As our pandemic response moves towards long-term equitable recovery, local governments will continue to play a critical role in ensuring communities have the immediate relief and long-term solutions to address underlying systemic inequalities.
